Thursday Night Dance/Sunday Late Night: The Back Room at Glen Echo Park

7300 Macarthur Blvd, Glen Echo, MD‎ 20812

The Back Room, or Ballroom Annex, adjacent to the historic Spanish Ballroom, is a recently renovated, climate-controlled space with beautiful maple wood floors. This is the site of our regular weekly Thursday blues dance!

Friday and Sunday Main Dance: The Bumper Car Pavilion at Glen Echo Park

7300 Macarthur Blvd, Glen Echo, MD‎ 20812

The Bumper Car Pavilion was built in 1923 as a cornerstone attraction of Glen Echo Park during the amusement Park era. With great views of the Park, this versatile facility is a unique setting for a real special Sunday night dance!

Friday Late Night: Capital Ballroom

7800 Wisconsin Avenue, 2nd Floor, Bethesda, MD 20814

Capital Ballroom (previously known as DuShor Dance Studio), is our site for the Friday Late Night dance. It’s across the street from a great dinner, though you won’t need to go there, because we’ll serve you a full meal right in the ballroom at midnight!

Transit Notes: It’s only a few blocks north of Bethesda Metro Station, however, the metro closes at midnight. Parking is available on the street or in the nearby parking garage; parking is free after 10pm.

Saturday and Sunday Classes: Glen Echo Park

We’ll be using the Spanish Ballroom, a beautifully restored 1933 Mediterranean style Art Deco building listed on the National Register of Historic Places, along with the Bumper Car Pavilion, Back Room, and Arcade rooms. The Spanish Ballroom is a glamorous venue with a fabulous maple wood floor that we just love dancing in. You won’t find another place like it, and you won’t forget dancing there for a long time to come!

Saturday Main Dance: St. Stephen and the Incarnation

1525 Newton St NW, Washington, DC 20010

St. Stephen and the Incarnation is an Episcopal church in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Washington DC. It boasts a beautiful sanctuary space with a stage and tile floors – perfect for dancing to live music. Because it’s in a neighborhood we encourage carpooling and please be quiet when outside as folks may be sleeping!
Transit Notes: It’s a short walk from the Columbia Heights metro station. Just head north on 14th St, turn left on Newton Pl and it’ll be on your right.

Saturday Late Night: The Keep

A favorite spot for locals, our Saturday late night location will be an old fashioned house party. Address will be sent out to registrants and direction print outs will be available at the Saturday main dance. Please be respectful of the space and sleeping neighbors when walking to/from!
