Vice Cruise

Between the Dupont Circle Dance and Roofer’s Ramble, we’ve decided to create a tour of all the sweetest vices of our city. Welcome to our glorious hedonism, and rejoice with us at several new-and-beloved  institutions. All of these establishments feature outdoor patios and decks, as well as delicious drinks and food, all with super discounts!

We’ve timed our vice cruise to wildly celebrate Jonathan Henderson’s birthday. We love you, Hendo! Here’s our planned tour right now, starting out from Dupont Circle and heading north — on this map, follow the green dots!

Glen’s Garden Market

Glen’s Garden Market, 2001 S Street NW, Washington, DC
An all-local grocery store with the tastiest treats for sale (including their home made pastrami sandwiches at their drool-gasm of a deli counter), and $4 craft beers on draft. IF you wanna know all the details on how Glen’s Garden Market acts to fight climate change, take a listen to GGM’s owner Danielle Vogel’s TED talk!

Bar Charley

Bar Charley, 1825 18th Street NW, Washington, DC
No one wants to tell you about Bar Charley because we still want to snag tables there, but since it’s you. Well, you’re invited. Monday is All Night Happy Hour which includes $5 Tiki Taps, $6 Classic Cocktails, $2 off Draft Beer and Glass Wine as well as food specials. Don’t tell anyone else about the back patio.

Rebellion

Rebellion, 1836 18th Street NW, Washington, DC
Warning: this is a phenomenal whiskey bar. They have over 75 fantastic whiskeys and bourbons, so take some nice sips of that delicious brown honey liquid we all treasure. They’ve also got 50 craft beers, 12 on tap, if that’s more to your taste. Locals note: they offer a 15% discount to folks with a 20009 area code.

Cocova

Cocova, 1904 18th Street NW, Washington, DC
There’s many glorious vices to celebrate in our nation’s capital, and we’re happy to introduce you to one of the finest eating experiences: Cocova’s chocolates. Truffles. Bulk chocolate. Chocolate bars. We’ll be ascending the hill up to Adams Morgan, so you’ll want to grab a tasty treat to ease the climb and to complete the vice cruise.

Dinner stop: Smoke & Barrel

Smoke & Barrel, 2471 18th Street Northwest, Washington, DC
Smoke and Barrel is our sponsor, and are providing delicious bbq for our Saturday feast. After a little taste then, we know you’ll be clambering for more. Smoke and Barrel is a superb whiskey bar with fine craft beers, and meats that have been smoked and adored for hours and hours. If you’re needing a real meal before hitting the dance floor at Roofers, this is a great place to fill your belly

Weiß Kreuz aka vice cruise!
Let’s party like we’re assassins whose cover job is working at a flower shop called “Kitty in the house”! I plan to buy drinks for Hendo and our staff this weekend!
