Located here: Friday, May 23 late night dance, Saturday, May 24 main and late night dances, and Sunday, May 25 main dance.

Glamorous ballroom in a former amusement park, now a National Historic Site. These wooden floorboards have hosted over 90 years of dancers, and they’re just as smooth and buttery as ever.

Bathrooms are off the ballroom and ramp is to the left of the main doors facing the Ballroom. You can get food and alcohol onsite at Praline. The Ballroom has no heat or air conditioning.

Getting to Glen Echo Park: Lots of parking is available in the lot about a quarter mile away. Note that buses only run here til a certain time of night. See the Route 29 bus schedule. When Metro is running, another option is to take the train to Friendship Heights or Bethesda stations and call a ride service app. (Check station sites for last train times, roughly 12:45am).

Food options: Praline, Irish Inn (next door), 7-11 (across the street).

As you guessed, this used to be a bumper car arena, built in 1923. Cute outdoor space with wood floors and open sides. Picnic tables nearby. You can get food and alcohol at Praline next door in the Spanish Ballroom.

Bathrooms nearby in the Spanish Ballroom and in the Carriage House beside the carousel.
