Glamorous ballroom in a former amusement park, now a National Historic Site. These wooden floorboards have hosted over 90 years of dancers, and they’re just as smooth and buttery as ever.
Bathrooms are off the ballroom and ramp is to the left of the main doors facing the Ballroom. You can get food and alcohol onsite at Praline. The Ballroom has no heat or air conditioning.
Getting to Glen Echo Park: Lots of parking is available in the lot about a quarter mile away. Note that buses only run here til a certain time of night. See the Route 29 bus schedule. When Metro is running, another option is to take the train to Friendship Heights or Bethesda stations and call a ride service app. (Check station sites for last train times, roughly 12:45am).
Food options: Praline, Irish Inn (next door), 7-11 (across the street).

As you guessed, this used to be a bumper car arena, built in 1923. Cute outdoor space with wood floors and open sides. Picnic tables nearby. You can get food and alcohol at Praline next door in the Spanish Ballroom.
Bathrooms nearby in the Spanish Ballroom and in the Carriage House beside the carousel.

Bannockburn Community Clubhouse

This former golf club turned community gathering space offers beautiful outdoor space for picnicking and an indoor clubhouse.
The club is located in a residential area and street parking is extremely limited. Please meet up with friends at Glen Echo and carpool from there!
Note: You may bring your own food, but alcohol will not be allowed at Bannockburn.

Live music venue in DC’s Adams Morgan neighborhood, and we have it all to ourselves this year! Two floors of bars and dance floors with our national DJs playing deep cuts and certified bangers. When it’s late and the lights are low, grab a drink or a partner and keep the party going!
Allergy/Access Note: The bar uses some laser lights and incense. Incense will not be burning during our event, but there may be a lingering smell.
There are various late night food options on the same block, including The Diner (2453 18th St NW, open til midnight) and Pizza Mart (“Jumbo Slice,” 2445 18th St NW, open til 3am).
